Calling all F1 teams! Boost young interest in Motorsport Engineering
09 May 2013
UK PLC is in desperate need of skilled engineers, and Motorsport is no exception. There is a clear requirement to increase the number of qualified and skilled young people entering our industry.
So how can we work toward highlighting the many challenging and rewarding career opportunities in Motorsport to young people, while inspiring them to study and excel in STEM subjects?
Supported by Careersinfo, Cranfield University, F1 in Schools and the MIA, Smart Study, an educational software provider, are looking for your valuable support to develop an “Inside F1” mobile careers app.
The aim of the “Inside F1” Apps are to help inspire students to look at engineering and to provide them with clear guidance on typical team structure, to identify job roles, and clarify potential educational / vocational pathways to pursuing an F1 career.
By making the app available free of charge via the popular Blackberry, iPhone and iPod platforms in a fun yet informative format, young people can gain a clear understanding of the many pathways into F1.
This represents an excellent opportunity for you to help develop the next generation of motorsport engineering talent, and receive inclusion within the app to acknowledge your support.
If you are in a position to assist, by entering short responses into a simple spreadsheet, please contact Philip Reynolds at Smart Study ([email protected]).
Please also feel free to circulate this request to any appropriate contacts who may be interested in supporting.
