Automotive - Business Opportunities Visit to Mexico - 7 - 12 July 2013
24 Jun 2013
Mexico is already the world's eighth largest producer and fourth largest exporter of vehicles. Buoyed by new investments worth over $4 billion from global automotive vehicle manufacturers and Tier one suppliers, the local automotive industry is poised for sustained growth but currently faces substantial challenges within the supply chain.
The programme for the joint SMMT/UKTI automotive visit to Mexico, scheduled for 7 - 12 July, has now been confirmed and details can be found here.
The UK group will visit three key automotive centres, as well as viewing the PAACE Automechanika exhibition in Mexico City.
As an extra incentive to join the group, UKTI have announced that they will offer a 50% reduction in their normal OMIS fee (for companies who have not previously commissioned an OMIS). This means participating companies will have an opportunity to meet, and present to, potential business partners in Mexico's automotive heartlands for a cost of just over £400.
Additionally, support towards travel and accommodation costs may be available through the UKTI Market Visit Support Scheme - contact your local International Trade Adviser for details.
